Food to Avoid for O Blood Types in Order to Lose Weight


Scientific evidence does not support the idea that your blood type determines what foods you should avoid to lose weight, reports the NYU Langone Medical Center. However, this is the premise of the Blood Type Diet created by Dr. Peter D'Adamo, a naturopathic physician. D'Adamo claims that certain foods will increase the risk of health conditions and weight gain in people with type O blood, although the diet he advises for them is not consistent with current nutritional recommendations. Don't start the diet until you've consulted your doctor.
